REVIEW: Wish Renewing Mud Mask and Nourishing Dew Mask
Ahh exfoliation. It has become my best friend when it comes to my skincare routine. I'm a big advocate for taking extra precautions with my skin, making sure when I exfoliate the skin, I'm doing so as gently as possible. In my Editors FABFITFUN box 2018, I received Wish's Renewing Mud Mask and I also picked up an add-on from the same line, the Nourishing Dew Mask.

I received these products back in January and really took my time trying them out to get a well-rounded opinion of them. I have been using both of them consistently for over a month now as part of my weekly skin routine. Today I'm sharing my review on Wish's Renewing Mud Mask and Nourishing Dew Mask.
Renewing Mud Mask
Let’s start with the facial exfoliation. The Renewing Mud Mask by WISH is an interesting facial peel. It retails on their website for 48.00 $ CAD. Unlike many others I've tried that come in a gel form, this mask comes as a thicker mud. The texture is gritty as well because there are some exfoliating crystals within the mask that glide on the skin very nicely. The directions say to put a thin, even layer all over the face, and leave on for 15 seconds - 2 minutes (max). This is highly important. It is quite a potent facial peel. I know it may be tempting to leave it on for longer as with other masks, but it is really important to follow the instructions with this one.
After my 2 minutes, I wash this off of my face in gentle, circular motions to get the full exfoliating effect with a clean face rag. My skin immediately feels smooth and soft. I haven't had any irritation from this product which I like very much as my skin is mildly sensitive. If you've seen any of my skincare videos on YouTube you'll know that I have quite a few acne scars on my skin that I have been desperately trying to get rid of. In most recent videos, you'll see that my spots have lightened quite a bit. I can attribute this to wearing lots of sunscreen and exfoliating my skin. Whether or not this product in particular is the reason for it, I'd have to use it more. But I have noticed my skin doesn't break out as much because the pores are not clogged. So for getting the dead skin off of my skin, this is great. As for lightening hyper-pigmentation... the jury is still out.
Nourishing Dew Mask
Now that we've exfoliated it’s time to moisturize the skin. The Nourishing Dew Mask by WISH is a moisturizing cream that retails on their website for 54.00$ CAD. First off, this thing smells like heaven. It is enriched with Rose Hip and Lotus which not only gives your skin some TLC but also gives you some serious aromatherapy. This mask feels like whipped butter, it goes on the skin feeling luxurious and glides on with ease. I typically leave this on my face when I am taking a bath to really let my skin soak up the goodness. It leaves my skin feeling silky smooth. Because this mask doesn't really dry down, it gives your skin the feeling as though you had on a sheet mask. It keeps your skin feeling moist which is why the steam from the bath or shower makes it even more powerful because your skin can soak up all that hydration.
When I rinse off my face, I don't really feel the need to re-hydrate my skin because it already feels plump. I typically add a light oil or light moisturizer to lock in the hydration but that is it and I'm good to go. I especially love using this after any clay mask I do because the clay really dries up your skin so this Dew Mask gives you all of that goodness back. And of course, it pairs well with other types of masks so it is a great addition to your skincare collection.
