Secura Nano Iconic Facial Steam

This is the Secura Nano Ionic Facial Steamer. It retails on Amazon for $39.90 CAD. It is a compact at home facial steamer that allows you to bring the SPA to your home, just add water. Steams are amazing for you skin as they help to soften the skin and prep it for any product you're applying next. Be it a clay mask, a sheet mask, a peel, or any other skin care product you're applying, the warmth of the steam will help your skin absorb the product much deeper. I have posted a review of the Secura steamer on my channel, and today I'm sharing my full review after using this steamer for 6 months.

Secura Nano Iconic Facial Steamer

steams in seconds, gently exfoliates and softens skin to increase product absorption.

The Secura steamer is a comfortable size. It is as tall as a water bottle and the width of a small watermelon. Because of its compact and clean design, it fits well in my room on display. I typically tie up the cord with a rubber band and place it in my beauty display. It’s lightweight and easy to use with a simple on and off button.

Flower nozzle

The shape of the mouth piece is fairly wide and angled to project steam comfortable while sitting at a table

The steam comes as in a continuous mist that lasts for a good 10 minutes. I do find that the steam comes through in a concentrated stream so you have to rotate your head around the mist to fully cover your face. I don’t mind that much since I like to put on a mask while I’m using this, so I only have one side facing the steam as I apply my mask. It has a great angle to get under your chin as well for a full facial.

I do find that the Secura Nano Iconic steamer has a plastic scent that comes out of the nozzle. It does not go away with use, it’s probably from the heat within the plastic base. It is most noticeable at the end, which is alright because it lets you know when to pull your face away from the steam. I tried adding a few drops of essential oil into the water tank, and it masks the smell while you’re using it. I also haven’t had any issues with it being clogged.

On Off

Simple on off switch. Heats up in 30 seconds.

I really enjoy the simplicity of the steamer. Pour the water in, turn it upside down and fit it into the backing. Plug it into an outlet, switch it on and enjoy 10 minutes of steamy relaxation. After using this product, my skin is damped, exfoliated, softened and ready to absorb any other product I lay on top.

I love using this when I’m doing a facial, I’ll start out with one of my favourite chemical peels; Herbivore Blue Tansy Resurfacing Clarity Mask , then my Indian Secrets Aztec Healing Clay then finish off with a moisturizing sheet mask.
