But today, I want to talk about what I do during my follicular phase—the time when my energy is up, I’m feeling focused, and it’s the perfect opportunity to get organized and plan for the weeks ahead.
1. Planning and Goal Setting
During the follicular phase, I feel super motivated and focused, so it’s the perfect time to write out my goals and schedule tasks for the upcoming month. I get really intentional about time-blocking my days to make sure I’m productive without feeling overwhelmed.
I love using the iPhone Focus settings to help me stay undisturbed. I set my phone to “sacred undisturbed time” during key activities like cleaning, working, date nights, and even self-care. This way, I’m fully present and in the moment for each task. I do leave about 1-2 hours of “phone on” time for any incoming calls or social media, so it doesn’t end up controlling my entire day.
2. Deep Cleaning and Fresh Starts
I also take advantage of this phase to deep clean my home. There’s something about a fresh, clean space that really boosts my energy and sets the tone for the rest of the month. I open the windows to let in fresh air, burn some incense, and give my plants some TLC. It’s like hitting the reset button for my space, which helps me feel clear-headed and ready to tackle whatever’s ahead.
3. Nourishing My Gut
Another big focus during this phase is gut health. I make sure to eat plenty of probiotic-rich foods like fermented beverages and yogurt bowls to support my digestion. My body needs these nutrients in this phase, and I can really feel the difference when I prioritize what I eat. It keeps me feeling light and energized, rather than weighed down or sluggish.
4. Movement and Fresh Air
Movement is a must during the follicular phase. I keep things simple with mini stretches throughout the day—even just 5 minutes of movement can make a big difference. In the evenings, I head outside for a walk to get my blood flowing and enjoy some fresh air. Walking in nature is such a great way to wind down the day and recharge.

It helps me stay in tune with my energy levels, so I’m always working with my body instead of against it.
